Thanksgiving Meal Drive

Dear Saints,
Our God is great! He has graciously made full provision for our needs, both spiritual and physical, and we stand in awe of His power, love, and mercy.

This Thanksgiving, we want to provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal to needy families, both within our church and within our immediate sphere of influence.

FAQ

Who will be receiving the dinners?
Technically, anyone who is in need and asks for one. We are prioritizing church members, followed by those within the immediate area and sphere of influence of the church.

 

Who is paying for the dinners?
The dinners will be paid for by the deacons from the church's Benevolency Fund.

 

Can we donate specifically to this cause?
Yes. Simply put "Thanksgiving Drive" in the memo of your check or on the envelope containing your donation.

 

How much does each dinner cost?
The dinners will be approximately $40 to $50 apiece and will be purchased by the church from Meijer.

 

What is included in a dinner?
The dinner includes a fully cooked, traditional Thanksgiving meal for 6 people.

 

How can I volunteer to help?
The main need will be food distribution, i.e. picking up the dinners from Meijer and delivering them to homes. Contact Keith Lucas or leave your name with the office. There may also possibly be a need for childcare for the children of those volunteering. *Kitty and Stephen, note that this was brought up by someone wanting to volunteer, and I thought I would include it here.

 

How do I "sign up" for receiving a dinner?
Just give us your name, phone number, address, and number of people who will be eating.
