The word 'brothers' in v. 1 is not limited to family members or males: David is talking about the blessing of godly friendship. How would you describe the experience of being together with your closest friends in Christ?
Look at how different Psalms describe eternal life: Psalm 23:5-6, Psalm 27:4, Psalm 133. What themes do you notice? How does this compare with your own hopes for eternal life? Where does friendship fit into your picture of eternal life?
In the second part of the last verse it says, "There the Lord has ordained the blessing, life forevermore." If someone asked you, "Where has God ordained the blessing of eternal life?" what would you say? Why does David look at friends?
How can you try to cultivate friendships with Christians? OR how can you make God the center of your friendships?
