Numerous supporting affiliate agencies and organizations composed of individuals, community groups, youth, businesses, private and public institutions contribute to several SDPC-lead initiatives addressing the challenges of youth substance abuse. These initiatives are the Club Drug Task Force, Marijuana Policy Council, and the San Diego Prevention Council. Collectively these initiatives strive to achieve the following goals:

Goal 1. Reduce substance abuse among middle school youth (ages 10-14) by 5% per year.
Goal 2. Expand SDCPC’s Predatory Drug Initiative to reduce abuse among high school youth (ages 15-19) by 10% in two years and raise awareness of their risks with law enforcement, policy makers, venue owners, promoters, parents and the community;
Goal 3. Upgrade SDCPC’s Anti-Marijuana campaign to change the community perception of harmlessness of the drug; and
Goal 4. Strengthen anti-drug coalition efforts and implement a data strategy to continually monitor progress.
