Spearheaded by Supervisor Bill Horn, the San Diego County Club Drug Task Force was launched by Sheriff Bill Kolender and the San Diego Prevention Coalition in January 2002. Utilizing a multi-discipline, collaborative approach, the San Diego County Club Drug Task Force works to create a safe and drug-free environment for our communities and our youth.

Mission

Through a collaboration of diverse disciplines, reduce predatory/club drugs and emergent drug use and develop model programs that advance state of the art substance abuse prevention.

Goal 1. Increase communication among diverse community sectors on the latest information, research and harm caused by club drugs.
Goal 2. Expand SDPC’s ‘‘Communities in Action’’ Predatory Drug Initiative (CDTF) to reduce abuse of these substances among older youth ages 15-20.
Goal 3. Advocate for policy change and legislation at the local, state and federal levels.
